Integral Rural Development, a hard cover book of 152 pages. Based on rural transformation experiment by a project named SARVAM of Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry. This research by G. Palanithurai (Professor) of Gandhigram Rural Institute at Deemed University is the author of the book, which is based on an experiment made with an innovative concept in rural development, called” “Integral Rural Development.” It takes a spiritual approach to rural development which is value-based and human consciousness-centered. It includes and, at the same time, transcends the basic material needs of humans. The idea is being implemented successfully in two villages, Perambai and Poothurai, in the Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu.
This book is the result of self-anchoring exercise that Savram took up in January 2014. It explains the concept of Integral Rural Development, the principles that emerged from it in practice, and the plans for sustaining and taking it up on a large scale.
