Conquering Obstacles in Sadhana is a compilation of guidance quotes given by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother to overcome some intricate obstacles that come in the way of pursuing Integral Yoga.

The book Conquering Obstacles in Sadhana continues from the earlier series of ‘Rejection’, Parts I and II. In this compilation, other obstacles that need to be conquered, such as anger, fear, sex-force, ill-will, hatred, self-distrust, incapacity and doubts, are covered in detail with quotations of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother taken from the Complete Works of Sri Aurobindo (CWSA), Sri Aurobindo Birth Centenary Library (SABCL) and the Collected Works of The Mother (CWM, Second Edition).

The Mother has laid down very few rules so that each one can enjoy the freedom needed for development with Integral Yoga, but a few things are strictly forbidden to be a part of the Ashram, namely are—(1) politics, (2) smoking, (3) alcoholic drink and (4) sex enjoyment, which are also covered in detail in the book.

The Mother has reiterated many a times that every person who decides to pursue Integral Yoga will have “to take a firm resolution to let nothing interfere with the ascent towards the Divine Realisation. And then the success is certain.”

“Let all the clouds disperse, all the attachments disappear, all the obstacles vanish, so that you can enjoy fully the peace and the joy of being here, so close to me, in the Divine’s abode.”
—THE MOTHER
